How to terminate a contract?
In this article, we explain how to remove a Staff from Smart Rota and how to transfer a staff to another department.
There are several ways of doing this depending on the situation.
A The Staff has resigned or has been dismissed.
Click on Team.
Search for the staff name.
Click on the hyperlink.
Click on Contract.
Edit the current active contract.
Enter the termination date or the last working day (LWD)
Select the reason as to why the staff must be terminated.
Click save.
B The Staff is transferred to a department that does not use SMRT.
Click on Team.
Search for the staff name.
Click on the hyperlink.
Click on Contract.
Edit the current active contract.
Enter the termination date or the last working day (LWD)
Select the reason "Department transfer".
Click save.
C The Staff is transferred to a department that do use SMRT. This action musy be performer by a local admin or HQ role/permission
Click on Team.
Search for the staff name.
Click on the hyperlink.
Click on Contract.
Create a new contract.
Enter all the details with the new department, contract type, new rotation.
Click save.
Note that if the new department has already some published weeks after the date of the new contract, the Staff member will carry his current published shift in the new department. You might need to manually update the new shifts.
